Mason Malmuth Radio Interview
Just in case you guys missed it, Mason did a radio interview on Dr. Al's show. LINKY
Classic Mason IMO (honest, direct, etc). Sklansky's interview should be posted soon. Mason, How about a 2+2 podcast? |

Re: Mason Malmuth Radio Interview
Apparently Dr. Al and Mason are both huge Steamboatin fans. I don't know what it is, but he is a likeable dude.

How about a 2+2 podcast? [/ QUOTE ] Wow, that would be amazing. Anything like that, or getting some of the books in audio format. I would be a fan. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think a Sklansky podcast would be perfect. He can talk about poker, 18 year old's, mathematics, 18 year old's, religion, or even 18 year old's. |

From which book is the 54o vs. 54s quote taken that Sklansky talks about? [/ QUOTE ] It is an inside joke. Holdem Radio broadcasts online tournaments from Cake Poker and Wingows poker. You play in their tournaments (Holdem Radio Live usually freeroll followed buy a $5.50 buyin) and you can listen to the broadcast and interact with the other players in live chat. (No, they don't collude or share hole cards. Just a premptive for the conclusion jumpers in our midst.) Wade Andrews runs Holdem Radio.com and his favorite hand is 54s. Someone from chat asked Dave what his favorite hand was and Dave said "54s". Wade called two all ins for most of his chips in one of the tourneys with 54s and busted both players. So there is running joke about 54s and Dave was playing along. Last night Barry Tannebaum was on with DR Al and it was a great show. the DR Al show, AKA the Psychology of Poker with DR Al Schoonmaker, is really turning out to be a great show. It is on Tuesdays at 8 PM. |

But didn't he say that some author wrote in a book that 54o is a better hand than 54s because you don't stack off with it when somebody has a higher flush. I was wondering which book this is. |
