Ultimate Bet\'s TLB formula is whack, yo

so i was messing around with their TLB calculator. 9th place in a $200 buy in with 100 entrants receives more TLB points than 9th place in a $200 buy in with 1000 entrants.

can someone explain this to me? i understand the math of their formula...i just don't understand why they are using a formula that has that sort of skew....
