Re: Did i play this set to hard?
Typically I'm calling his flop c/r, cause he'll be betting the turn a lot, and I'll make my move there, I think you basically blow him off of weaker Q's, and ever AQ has a hard time calling here.

Re: Did i play this set to hard?
call flop shove turn is better imo
@ post above, timid KQ or a bluff are possible here. But you do have a point. Maybe 3bet is better, but I wouldnt bet so big, would I? |

Re: Did i play this set to hard?
Typically, I'll call the raise in position and 3 bet OOP.

Re: Did i play this set to hard?
on a drawy board i don't think there is such a thing as playing a set too fast because those draws don't mind getting it in as a dog and the turn can seriously f us (bad obv, or paired the board which is good but makes them less inclined to keep playing).
maybe a smaller raise but i doubt 444 ever folds here, draws shove it in and bluff goes away anyway. AQ might fold but should never be c/r this flop anyway so who cares. |

[ QUOTE ]
Typically I'm calling his flop c/r, cause he'll be betting the turn a lot, and I'll make my move there, I think you basically blow him off of weaker Q's, and ever AQ has a hard time calling here. [/ QUOTE ] If he has a Q a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], a 5, a 4, a K, or an A may kill your action. If he has a flush draw, a 5, 4, or Q will kill your action and a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] will kill your hand. If a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] falls you won't know whether it killed your action or your hand. Lastly, people just don't c/r drawy flops and then fold to pushes. It just never happens, unless they have complete snow. If they're doing it with a draw, they'll feel priced in. If they're doing it with a made hand, they'll feel they have to call because "he might have a draw and look at my odds". I think calling here and in situations like it has less EV than pushing, and by a pretty huge amount. |
