Re: $5 stars AK 2-table (non turbo)
i'd just call pf.
as played, you had to call with just ace high, which really really sux. 3-betting PF i'd only do with QQ+ here, where you are willing to push a lot of flops. |

Re: $5 stars AK 2-table (non turbo)
I usually call here preflop, sometimes I shove. As played I would check behind on the flop.

Re: $5 stars AK 2-table (non turbo)
Don't reraise here unless its AI. You can't go and go since you have position, and reraising pre restricts your ability to c-bet with room to bail.
I'm just calling preflop. What was your plan if he shoved pre? |

Re: $5 stars AK 2-table (non turbo)
Just call preflop. If he raised a lot I shove, 3-betting is the worst option imo. On the flop, if you were going to call a shove, why not just shove yourself (and maybe have some FE against AQ)? I wouldn't hate to check behind, though (in fact, that's what I would typically do).

Re: $5 stars AK 2-table (non turbo)
AI PF. You'll get called by AJ here like 100% of the time at these levels, and there's already 275 in the pot for grabs. Take it!
If you flat-called PF (better than 3-bet at least), it wouldn't have cost as much to take a stab at the flop and you can easily fold to a c/r. |
