Default NLH losing its edge to pot limit

I hear alot of poeple talking about pot limit Holdem taking over NLH in the future. They argue that it takes more skill to play pot limit. these pros say that these lucky amatures wont have a chance in pot llimit. did these pros forget what got them here?

I dont believe what they say and i hope my favorite game never loses its edge.

Or maybe fish feel like they will lose less in PL so they will play it more and *poof* it's more profitable.

shymijo,

You sure are an entertaining mother [censored] as your thread in the Poker Theory Forum shows.

However I pray you are right. There are a lot of successful NLHE players at all levels, especially the overly laggy, that would be toast in PLHE.

Theres just not much difference between PL and NL.. the only thing PL does is annoy the dealers to death trying to count the pot and to "force" players to play right by not overbetting the pot.

The dealers on the online sites I play on never seem to get annoyed.

the thing that pisses me off in potlimit is raising out of the blinds, I like slight overpot raises, PL says [censored] you not going to happen

besides that I don't think its that different

I have played very little PLHE. But what differences are there? Your open raise amount is a bit less than in NLHE. Your three-bet amounts can't be qutie as big as in NLHE. You cannot over-push post-flop (which I do very infrequently anyway).

Oh, and bad players are more likely to play correctly as they just say "pot" instead of knowing how much is in play and betting a percentage.

The only time I ever raise more than the pot is from the sb when I'm stealing the bb.
