Using HDTV for laptop?
is there a way to hook up my laptop to my hdtv?
I have a ati mobility radeon 9000 video card and the tv is a sharp aquos lc-26d40u says in the manual "number of dots 1366x768x3 dots" So I am not sure if this is the resolution and how this will look but it would be nice to be able to watch movies on the tv... I have a dell 600m laptop S-video output and vga |

Re: Using HDTV for laptop?
if your tv has a vga input that would be the best way, it would look kind of crappy with s video, but fairly decent for movies/video
just use a vga to vga input like you would from a desktop/laptop to a monitor |

Re: Using HDTV for laptop?
You usually need to create a custom resolution to match that of your HDTV. This can be done with free software apps. As said above, if you have a VGA or DVI port on your TV then that's the best way. But trust me, it's not going to be like looking into your monitor.
