Ya I play it the same. Def. bet turn you get called a lot more than raised, and not often bluffraised.

Hi Slimon,
Let's look at this street by street. Pre-flop: Nice speculative hand out of position, check is perfect. Flop: I like betting out here. With top pair your hand is likely best, and by putting out the first bet (in the 45-60 range) you can figure out where you are in the hand, have fold equity, and this is a low chip variance approach -- always a good thing in low blind SNG play. But if you do check, that brings us to ... Turn: The pot is 300, it costs 90 to call, and your call closes the action. So folding is out since you have better than 3:1 with a likely-best top pair, and raising, while defensible, builds a big pot with a TPWK hand -- something to generally avoid in low-blind SNG play. By process of elimination, smooth-call this turn raise. Best Regards, Collin |
