Clearly it's possible you've got him (I just got 4-bet all-in pre-flop by a guy who had JJ), but you have to play him for an overpair the vast majority of the time.

No set odds = say goodbye to two bucks and move on, in my opinion.

hard one...

But I believe you were ahead, or he was just playing crappy.

No way a real player would make such a big raise with KK or AA and I doubt he is that good that he was trying to make you think that he doesnt have a hand and to make you call him, or go allin

But since you had position I would say call and see what happens on the flop.

"No way a real player would make such a big raise with KK or AA"

Respectfully disagree. I think it's quite possible. Really, what's a standard re-raise here -- $6-$8? The raise is to $10.25, which really isn't that much higher.

You might be right sir, but this raise is a bit too big. There are 5.5 BB in and he makes a raise up to 20BB.

This looks to me like a have a middle pair or a big ace with good kicker, please dont call me...

..or the other way...I have a monster hand and since you are in the CO perhaps you are trying to steal something here and I will make you think that I am re-stealing.

The key here is whether or not we have a read, and we don't.

One of the most important things that I have learned in my brief career in the micros is that you need to play conservatively when you don't have a read. Don't always assume that villain is a complete idiot because

1) Not everyone is, or at least not as dumb as you would assume.

2) Even idiots can get dealt aces.
