$22 Early Levels preflop hand selection
Hi all, after reviewing my SNG play i have decided that there are holes in my early game preflop play(levels 1-3).
Currently im raising 4xBB with QQ+,AKo AKs, I am limping with all other pocket pairs and only calling raises that are less than 1/15th of my stack. Should i expand this raising range to include AQ, JJ and TT. Should i raise more with limpers. What about suited connectors? DeV |

Re: $22 Early Levels preflop hand selection
I'm raising with JJ, but not with AQ, since the good players don't do it (Bigjoe and the SNGicon players at least). Muck suited connectors. Raise more with limpers, add 1-2 BB per limpers. Gl

Re: $22 Early Levels preflop hand selection
wtf
1) Why 4xbb? 3xbb is fine 2) You openlimp any pair from any position? 3) You raise the same hands UTG and OTB? 4) Yes, add one bb for every limper, roughly 5) Don't raise SCs early on |

Re: $22 Early Levels preflop hand selection
Hand selection cannot be used as a sole decision factor, position and other players actions should be putted in the decision process.

Re: $22 Early Levels preflop hand selection
So how do you play AQ preflop then?

Re: $22 Early Levels preflop hand selection
depends!!
Also level 1 is hugely different to level 3! Level 3 rasing 3BB is already 10% of your stack. I don't have a standard line for AQ, as said before depends by postion/table/previous players actions. |
