MLBtv or live baseball on my computer
I dont have cable and it sucks since I want to watch baseball. If I get MLBtv it says I'm going to get some blackouts of my local games (which sucks). Do they determine I'm blacked out because of where my bill gets sent or my IP or a zip code I put in? I'd like to think there is a way around this. Perhaps there is a different way to watch live baseball games on my computer? Thanks

Re: MLBtv or live baseball on my computer
AFAIK mlbtv is your only option for online viewing. I think they determine things by your IP, but I'm not totally sure on that one. I do know that my roommate's brother is attempting to get around this by having his billing address at our house in CO to watch Red Sox games in MA online. I'll find out if that works soon enough.

Re: MLBtv or live baseball on my computer
Last year I was able to watch Drays by opening up their game ~30 minutes before the game started. For some reason this worked, and was a way to get around the blackout, not sure if it will still work this year. You have to leave it on that game though, if you switch elsewhere it will be blacked out if you try to go back.

Re: MLBtv or live baseball on my computer
Thanks for the advice, both of you. Benza, I sent you a PM, hopefully you'll let me know if your roommate has any luck with that.

This software is not perfect and makes mistakes, which results in getting blacked out when you should not. |

Re: MLBtv or live baseball on my computer
I got MLBtv last year for September, and I only remember one game getting blacked out. Quality was very good - much better than the software I use for NFL games (ie Sopcast).
