The biggest bang for your buck would be the proc upgrade to the T7200. Followed by the faster RAM (depending on the ram they actually use its hard to say how much this would improve performance).
I wouldn't worry about the graphics card unless you're a serious gamer (most don't use laptops). Most people will tell you to get the 7200 RPM drive. Personally I've never felt faster hard drives were worth paying more for, but ALOT of people disagree with me on this :0) Although you should be aware that the 7200 RPM drive will drain the battery faster. I don't know anything about displays so I'll let someone comment on that. |

Any opinions on UXGA display? Is it worth it? Thanks! [/ QUOTE ] UXGA display allows you to 4 table without any overlap. If you play on Stars and FTP, you can resize the tables, but you may find this bothersome. I have WUXGA, and gladly paid the little bit extra for the better resolution. |

Just keep in mind that text at WUXGA will be smaller. This is really only an issue for people who have poor eyesight or can't stand small text. For poker or gaming the higher resolution is better as you can fit more tables/detail on your screen.

I would personally get the WUXGA, the T7200, the 667mhz ram, the 7200RPM hdd, and either video card upgrade.
the video card will make your display 'nice' as you say, for vista. Vista likes a good video card for it's "Aero Glass" interface, which is EXTRA pretty. |

Hmmm...I'm still working on laptop choice lol. One thing I found was some laptops apparently come with HDMI plug in which would be killer for me to play poker on my big screen lcd. Seems Dell only offers DVI even on their blueray XPS system.
I think Toshiba, Sony, HP offer this feature. HDMI will allow me to play video and audio for viewing divx etc directly from my hard drive right? I dont want to run seperate connections for audio and video. Anyone using notebook with HDMI? Any thoughts? I will go with WUXGA and blow the wad I guess...think I'll be in for at least 4k CAN. |

OK I think this system has everything I need...any obvious weak spots? Sony doesnt seem to be to flexible as far as configurations go.

wtf model is that? two harddrives? I would HIGHLY recommend one 7200RPM drive over 2 5400RPM drives in raid 0 for a laptop.
