Because the games break too easily. 6 max works online because starting a new game is relatively easy and the games are easily available. This doesn't apply for B&M.

1) The V can't get a guaranteed 4/8, 8/16, or 15/30 full game yet, and thats also on their priority list.

2) Starting 6-max games will cannibalize their full ring games

3) In theory every game could be 6max, all they have to do is start games short rather than wait until they have 14 names on the list. The correct method should be to start games when they hit 6 players, and let the players individually opt-out if they don't want to play short handed. The goal should be to get games started short to build them into full ring games, not to separate short game players from full ring players.

It sounds like the V management was reading this thread and implemented the wrong idea to solve the right problem.

The 6 MAX may or may not fly.
Will it destroy the full ring games. I doubt it.
Only a few times have I not seen this room call a game down when the list hit 6 or 7.
Problem is most players refuse to sit in a short handed game.
