Flop decision KJs
Aggressive .5/1 6-max game at FT. Guy to my right is a bit hyper preflop and he opens in the hijack. I 3-bet with KJs to isolate. Solid button caps it. We call and go 3 to the flop.
Flop is Q74r with one of my suit (not the queen). Check, check, bet, call and I? |

Re: Flop decision KJs
I think you can just let it go with two villains. Even if button doesn't have you wrecked w/ AA, KK, or QQ, you could still be against, say, AJ and AK, JJ and AK, JJ and KQ, or all sorts of nasty combos that destroy you.

Re: Flop decision KJs
Also we need to bear in mind that our backdoor straight needs to be discounted somewhat. Some of our outs are almost certainly in our opponents hands.

I agree. And sometimes when he has AK we get a free look at the river.

I don't see how this could not be a call... hopefully button doesn't raise behind you.
ok, nevermind I didn't think about this long enough... I just posted. |

Re: Flop decision KJs
Isn't this identical to the hand David Sklansky posted in the high stakes forum some time ago?
Edit: Yes it is, more or less. FWIW, David later stated that this is a close call against most players. Of course, you have provided additional reads in your example which may change things somewhat. |
