Re: High Stakes USA players on Party?
the successful online pro made a comeback and invited his opponent for a $50/$100 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, but the game broke a few hands afterwards.

Highstakes report Look at Tyler Caby and Justin Bonomo articles from the last few days. What the hell is going on here [/ QUOTE ]Yeah thats what I was wondering too. And Dice- Would the person that takes the name just so happen to play that high like they did? I realize someone could take the name, but I doubt they would also play some of the highest stakes on party. also, after reading TC's blog I saw.. " March 28, 2007 F 6am in NYC. Lost 36k tonight at the game. Unbelievable night. Slept 10 hours in the past 3 days so I need to crash. stories later, tc" and in the high stakes report... " Taylor Caby Battles “Dom_Barrigas” In H.O.R.S.E. After an exhausting session at PartyPoker’s $50/$100 Stud tables, CardRunners instructor Taylor “Green_Plastic” Caby joined table 127391 for a $25/$50 NL Holdem heads-up match against “Dom_Barrigas”. Caby skillfully managed wins in the first hour, taking over $8K profit . But that didn’t last long as “Dom_Barrigas” managed to win it all back and then some, using many aggressive poker moves on the river card. Two hours of intense battle took place before “Green_Plastic” quickly scurried along after losing two critical five-figure pots. Only several minutes later, the successful online pro made a comeback and invited his opponent for a $50/$100 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, but the game broke a few hands afterwards. As the match ensued the Portuguese was able to close his session with a nice $14K+ total win while Taylor Caby (-$46K) took the biggest loss." +8k then -46k is pretty close to the -36k he said he lost in his blog. But, idk. |

Re: High Stakes USA players on Party?
Well, we have to come at it from a logical viewpoint:
Either: 1, Taylor abandoned his passport and moved to Canada to start a fresh life as a Canuck 2, Its not Taylor 3, Party makes exceptions to the no US player policy The most logical of the three hypothesis is the 2nd one. As for why the account only plays high stakes, i dont honestly know. However what stands out for me is i havent heard any mention of Taylor playing anything but Holdem, certainly not for high stakes online. Dont get me wrong, im not saying these players arent playing on Party - they very well might be to avoid the top US sharks - but if they are, they will be forced to play under another name from another location - probably taking business trips to Canada to play, or using proxy servers somehow to fake a Canadian IP. So if they are forced to play under a totally assumed identity, they definately wouldnt be using their standard screen names on the site. |

Re: High Stakes USA players on Party?
obviously.....
Worth noting that a couple of notable players have moved to europe for the time being (cts and leugo), and are playing on party -- i'm sure there must be others. I wish they bloody well go home to where they came from.... "Damn Goobacks Dey Tuuk Er Jahhbss!!!" |
