$22 NLTRN, AK, trips on gross board
this situation seemed sticky from the start. i possibly could have cbet to see where i was on the flop, but decided not to try to represent this flop. My turn call of the re-raise i would I agree is definitely questionable. Gross hand. Thoughts?

Re: $22 NLTRN, AK, trips on gross board
How's he been playing? Is a weaker ace possible? What's he calling with from the bb?
I think you have to call the river and against some players I might raise for value, depending on reads of course. |

no problem with your flop play.
your turn raise is fine. your call of his 3bet while not terrible is probably a losing play depending on the opponent. the river card is excruciating, i think you have to just call and hope he got silly with AQ or stupid with 97. |

Re: $22 NLTRN, AK, trips on gross board
It's kinda gross yeah, but I call and hope the guy has like A8 or is blocking with 97 or something. In a $22, you're going to see a pretty unexpected hand that you beat flip here often enough to make this call well worth it, but you'll be beat a fair bit. I like how you played the hand, I don't think the turn call is bad most of the time at all against a random 22 player.

I don't think I fold that turn ever against a random 22er.
The river is like 80% call and 20% valuepush against horrible opps. |

thanks for all the replies, as it turns out, i called and hated it all the way. my bad feeling was true, he had 10 8 for a crazy flopped straight, oh well, move on. im pretty sure i cant fold this river.
