Default Playin with AK?

This is probably really standard, but I just want to make sure...

Stars 20r, guy just got moved to table a bit ago. I don't think I have played a hand since he moved here.

I'm reraising to 13-14 K and probably ..in fact I am going all the way if he reraises me all in.

17k, call if he pushes, shove any flop if he calls since it will be close to a potsized bet left.

What do people think of just shoving our whole stack here pre-flop? It's a bit of an overbet, but it probably looks weaker than the half-stack reraise and might it make us more chips on average from AQ-AJ type hands who don't believe us?

You got a good hand, but you don't know anything about the raiser. So you have to assume he has something. I would think about AK-AT, KQ and high to medium pairs. You are a favorite to other aces but an (small) underdog to the pairs.
I think this hand isn't worth to risk half your stack preflop.

I would think here of a call and see if you catch something on the flop. If you think the raiser just want's to steal the blinds I would raise - but therefore a raise of about 8.000 should be enough.
A big reraise for me only makes sense if you are a weak postflop player.

Mix up your game...call, all-in, re-raise...these all have to be in your bag of tricks in this situation, and you can't always play it the same way or you're way too predictable. All three of those plays will work out if done correctly. Just go with the one which feels right at the time (unless your instincts suck, then go with the opposite; and unless you suck post-flop, then go all-in).

Raise to 15.600...

Shove the flop if he calls.

I like the go and go too.

Stacks are perfect for it.
