Cant install Joomla with yahoo hosting

Has anyone tried to install Joomla with yahoo hosting. I always get error messeges. I think this is a common problem with yahoo. Anyone know where there is a guide to installing joomla if you have yahoo hosting.

How much are you paying for yahoo hosting? You should really look into a host that has Cpanel with Fantastico.

You should be able to get this type of hosting for less than $10/month. It seriously takes one click to install Joomla using fantastico.

Yahoo hosting isn't all that bad. It's usually extremely fast and has pretty good uptime. And it's only $12/month so he might save $10/year going with some other host, hardly worth the effort of switching hosts.

But the convenience of using Fantastico is really worth it IMO. I can install CMS software like Joomla, Drupal, and Wordpress in seconds.

Ive read that there is a lot of problems when trying to install joomla and drupal with yahoo. The problem stems from the fact that yahoo does not allow files that start with . like .htxhf or something.

yeah this can be a pretty big deal... you can't do any kind of rewrites
