How is PTBB calculated?
For those who do not have PT, an explanation of PTBB is needed. I understand that PTBB's are units used to tally win rates at PL and NL games. But what is a PTBB equivalent to in terms of the actual BB's of a game? And how is a PTBB calculated?

Re: How is PTBB calculated?
a ptbb/100 hands is equal to twice BB/100 hands
PT uses Big bets instead of Big blinds. and the big bet is twice the big blind |

Re: How is PTBB calculated?
I have a question about this.
Let's say my no limit BB/100 is 4.5 BEFORE I have this button pressed and 9 AFTER I click it. Which is the correct amount of PTBB/100 that people refer to? |

a ptbb/100 hands is equal to twice BB/100 hands [/ QUOTE ] This is incorrect. ptbb/100 is BigBet/100. A big bet is taken from the limit model, so a big bet is equal to 2 times the big blind. That means ptbb/100 is equal to half of the BigBlind/100. Budrick, I actually just found that check box today. When people say ptbb/100 they are referring to when that box is unchecked. |

[/ QUOTE ] Unfortunately, BB can mean two things: Big Bet (2x the big blind, it's the term for the increased betting limits on the turn and river in Limit poker), or Big Blind (the forced bet before the cards are dealt that I'm sure you very familiar with). When people say PTBB/100, then mean Big Bets per 100, not Big Blinds. The reason they say PT (PokerTracker), I assume, is because when you're graphing No-Limit in PokerPatterns, it will display your winrate in BB/100 (Big Blinds/100, not Big Bets/100). So when you leave that box unchecked, that's the number most people refer to. Hope this helped. |
