Default Grammar vs. Grammer

OK - I know that these message boards are designed for poker, and that poker players are more inclined to know how to add rather than how to write, but I'm starting to get really annoyed with what I'm seeing.

So here are a handful of the most common mistakes that I'm seeing on these boards. If ever you're (NOT YOUR!) unsure about something, come back to this thread...

You're vs. Your:
You're = YOU ARE.
Your = Belongs to you.
You're going to be cold if you forget your sweater!

Their vs. They're vs. There:
Their = belongs to them.
They're = They are
There = A place.
They're standing over there talking into their cell phones...

Have vs. of: (this one's a new one for me, but it's really, really, really bad...)
Right: "I should have raised there!"
Wrong: "I should of raised there!"

The use of "Ironic"
Irony is a literary or rhetorical device, in which there is a gap or incongruity between what a speaker or a writer says, and what is generally understood. Generally there is an element of humour, stemming from the onlooker's perception of paradox.

Something unexpected / unfortunate is NOT AUTOMATICALLY IRONIC! Meeting Bob at the mall is not ironic. Watching somebody go runner-runner for quads to eliminate you from a tourney is NOT IRONIC. It sucks. But it's not ironic.

(The best example of irony that I can come up with happened to a buddy of mine. His car was broken into because his car alarm looked like a CD Changer.)

Please, add to this list... Sticky it... Next time somebody makes a 2nd grade English error, point them here...

Hmm. So when would you say "should of" done something?

I actually almost made a post about this once because EVERYONE on these forums does it. Then I figured it would come off as being petty and anal...I was right on that account.

I don't think it's ever grammatically correct.
