going to memphis for business next week and i will have time to kill at night. which of the tunica casinos should i head to? (assume midweek action will be decent).

ideally middle limit holdem or mixed games, but will play small NL if that's all the goes.

This is getting asked about a zillion times a week so you can find more info by doing a search.

Horseshoe is the best poker-room in Tunica and most on here agree that this is a no-brainer imo.
They will have 10/20 limit and probably the wild 20/40 limit game even mid-week.
Anywhere else will not have higher than 3/6 or 4/8 limit or 1/2 NL. maybe 2/5 NL at Gold Strike and Grand.

Gold Strike is my 2nd favorite room in Tunica. The NL games there are decent and they do a decent job running their tourneys (although some of them are pretty quick structure).

Tunica has a pretty good PLO game from what I hear. I thought that was (at least) at one time more popular than NL.

PLO is dead in tunica. Might see it going 2-5 or 5-10 at the shoe once is a blue moon.
Most of the old regs who kept the 10-20 and 20-40 have packed it up and play nl or have left town. I hear the oklahoma poker boom is in full swing.

Not so fast!

Gold Strike had the $25-25-50 (on the button) PLO game last two nights, and a $2-5 PLO game tonight. The big game broke around dawn, as I was leaving, and the other game was still going.
