float vs regular turns a set
Villain is a decent regular and is capable of playing tricky against me. He normally cbets larger but I've seen him cbet 1/2 PSB this session before against someone else and I don't recall him having a monster then.
I have him @ 22/13/3 over 1k hands. Texas Hold'em $1-$2 NL UTG ($1,125.25 in chips) CO ($239.05 in chips) Hero ($322.95 in chips) SB ($189.00 in chips) BB ($282.85 in chips) Hero is button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img],9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] PRE-FLOP UTG calls $2, CO bets $10, Hero calls $10, 3 folds. FLOP K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] CO bets $10, Hero calls $10. TURN K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] CO checks, Hero bets $30,CO calls $30. RIVER K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] CO checks, Hero bets $70, CO bets $189.05 and is all-in, Hero makes a crying call Bet less and fold to a shove? |

Re: float vs regular turns a set
I'd bet a bit less on the river, and fold to a shove. People at this level just don't cr bluff almost ever.

What if river was a blank?

Re: float vs regular turns a set
that board is a little drawy on the turn, so a raise it prolly a good idea...
70 into a 100 pot with a 4 card straight...not so sure if i like that... can't call that when he pushes that hand...you beat KQ and i think that's it... |

What if river was a blank? [/ QUOTE ] then i'd bet the 70 as hero did and call the shove, he doesn't have KK and TT in this spot as those would have c/r the turn... |

Re: float vs regular turns a set
I bet the turn 'cause of the drawyness of the board
I think I could be persuaded to check behind on the river sorry, I see you did bet the turn |

Re: float vs regular turns a set
Why not just check river?

Re: float vs regular turns a set
I think we lose too much value from AK and 2p hands if we check behind on the river.

Re: float vs regular turns a set
You already got $30 value out of your set on the turn, I'd be happy with it and check behind on the river.
If the river was a blank then I like the $70 bet. |

Why not just check river? [/ QUOTE ] you have position so i agree completely with you, you only get called / raised by a better hand / the straight. betting for value here is a bad play IMO. |
