Default Filmie Question of the Week: Best Movie Villain

Okay, 'Filmie QotW' is a new thing I'm running - I'll be taking suggestions.

So first one, BEST VILLAIN!

pictures and/or quotes much appreciated. Big villains only need apply.

One of my favourites:

I nominate Ming the Merciless

Pathetic earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void, without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here. If you had known anything about the true nature of the universe, anything at all, you would've hidden from it in terror.

“The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. "

Larua Prepon as Karla Holomlka in Karla. In real life Karla Homolka is still one of the biggest villians in Canada.

One of my favorite villain's AND 2+2 moderators (no offense to anyone here!)

Commodus: You wrote to me once, listing the four chief virtues. Wisdom, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance. As I read the list, I knew I had none of them. But I have other virtues, father. Ambition, that can be a virtue when it drives us to excel. Resourcefulness. Courage. Perhaps not on the battlefield, but there are many forms of courage. Devotion, to my family, to you. But none of my virtues were on your list. Even then, it was as if you didn't want me for your son.
Marcus Aurelius: Oh, Commodus, you go too far.
Commodus: I searched the faces of the gods for ways to please you, to make you proud. One kind word, one full hug while you pressed me to your chest and held me tight, would've been like the sun on my heart for a thousand years. What is in me that you hate so much?
Marcus Aurelius: Shh, Commodus.
Commodus: All I've ever wanted was to live up to you. Caesar. Father.

And my favorite line:

Commodus: It vexes me. I'm terribly vexed.

Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), from Die Hard

"It is a very nice suit, Mr. Takagi. It would be a shame to ruin it. Give me the code."

I feel kinda ridiculous, only because it's an obvious choice.

Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith
- A cloaked, mystical figure, both man and machine. Dressed in all black, so you know he's a bad guy.
- Hobbies include choking people with the Force, chopping hands off, chasing rebels across the galaxy, and killing little and big Jedis.
- Memorable quotes include "I find your lack of faith disturbing," "Apology accepted, Captain Needa," and "No. I am your father."

Alex Forrest (Glenn Close) in Fatal Attraction

"And don't you think I understand what you're doing? You're trying to move him into the country... and you're keeping him away from me. And you're playing happy family. Aren't you?
[begins to slice her own leg with a butcher knife]
You wouldn't understand that because you're so... so selfish. He told me about you. He told me about you. He was very honest. If you weren't so stupid, you'd know that. But you're so stupid. You're so stupid... you're a stupid, selfish bitch!"

Good badguys make any movie so much better. Some off the top of my melon.

Rutger Hauer in the Hitcher
___

Others that came to mind:

Tom Berenger in Platoon

Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner

Eli Wallach in TGTBTU

Can't believe I nearly left off Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet. If there's one thing I can't stand.....

Oh and Brad Pitt was good in Kalifornia.
