Default Nl 100 77 I make a move

Villain is an 18/8 regular

He checked the flop so I'm putting him on a A with a weak kicker looking for pot control, or an underpair anything between 66-KK

I made a move on the turn hoping to take the pot down right there but he called my bet. The river brought a perfect scare card for me. The 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] completes the flush as well as a straight along with the paired board. SO I push.

River push ok?

Why?

He'll have a hard time calling with a hand lik JJ-KK and a hard time calling with An A

He's also never on a flush draw here. If he's aggresive enough to raise suited connectors preflop he will be betting this flop with his draw

Your line doesn't look like a set (set would probably lead flop, CRAI turn or bet turn strong), flush or straight draw never CR turn. It looks just like what it is - a bluff. I think vilain with a hand reading ability will look you up often enough.

It seems like everyone at full ring who flops a set is leading directly into a PFR, it is to transparent.

I mix up my play constantly and it's 30/30/30 as to how I play a set. Sometimes against thinking players you need to play a set like you dont have a set so they will call you.

Sometimes I lead directly into the PFR, Sometimes I cr the flop sometimes I smoothcall the flop and lead the turn.

Who is going to crai on the turn with a set against a pfr who checked the flop in position? Thats a sure way to win no more money

The PFR is never calling that bet, the CRAI looks more like a bluff to me then the move I made.

flush or straight draw never CR turn.

You never semi bluff? Can you tell me why?

It also helps when you have nitty stats. I run at 14/9 not 20/10 and he knows I run at 13/9

With nitty stats like mine you can make a lot of moves against the right players

If you never bluff you are losing money

Just curious are you going to risk your entire 100 BB stack on a TPWK or underpair to an A high board against a 14/9 when you are Check raised on turn and forced to call another $56 bet on river. Most players will give up firing on the river after he called that turn CR. I didn't I fired again

If you're so sure about your play, why are you asking? You seem to just want to defend everything you did. This is a pretty bad move because your line makes no sense whatsoever. It doesn't follow any logical argument with any hands that beat villain. I won't write it all out but just read what the others wrote.

That's not to say this is impossible it'll work, there are just soooo many better spots or better ways to set up 3barrel bluffs.
