Help me with my court date!

I got arrested last night for interference with a public act and public intoxication. I cannot deny either charge, as I was publicly intoxicated and briefly fled from the police officers.

However, is there any way for me to possibly get the interference charge dropped?

Also, anything in particular I should say or do on my court date? It seems to me it is kind of a mass gathering of people with similar charges. This is in a small town (<20,000), if that matters at all.

Thanks for all the help, if any, you can offer. If anyone can provide specific advice that helps my cause, payment will be given.

The fines are between $100-200. Would contacting an attorney be worth it?

Also, the jailer told me not to put these charges on applications. Should I listen to her advice?

Those charges arent anything. You will just get a slap on the wrist (small fine), and it wont be on your permanent record. Dont worry about it.

if they are your first charges odds are good the judge will drop at least one and cut the fines..

Wrong. All adult convictions are on your record permanently unless you get them expunged.
