pokerstars checks,,and the bank

i am from the usa and got a check from pokerstars and took it to the banka nd they said it looks fishy,so they would have to call me after investigating where it was from..has anyone cahsed a pokerstars check from the usa lately at the bank and what do i do if they dont accept it?

The check is fine. Putting a hold on it is standard. Just tell them its legit and to deposit it.

Alternatively, use the ATM next time and avoid the hassle.

If your bank has a night depository drop box, use that instead of the ATM. A bank employee told me it is quicker. Amazingly my last Stars check cleared the next morning, even though my checking balance was less than the check. Your results may vary.
