[PS $22/180] What is the proper play with Queens
Around 50 people left, my stack is about average. No reads to speak of as I got moved to the table recently.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) converter MP2 (t3685) MP3 (t1612) Hero (t6615) Button (t9070) SB (t16524) BB (t6200) UTG (t4375) UTG+1 (t3553) MP1 (t4125) Preflop: Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to t600, 1 fold, MP2 calls t600, 1 fold, Hero... I decided a reraise was in order. I was unsure of how much given my stack and the pot size. What was the best play? |

Tripling is my usual play or PSB.

Given their stack sizes and how big the pot is going to be, I think you should probably push. I'm not too worried about the big stacks behind me waking up with a hand.

You could do the reraise isolation bit, but I think calling with 600 - given the size of your stack - is reasonable. If you think you have FE here, reraise. But with QQ, if I have no FE, I don't want to push and see five cards.

Without reraising, it allows people behind me to have odds to call with all kinds of holdings. I do not want to be in a multi-way pot - even with position - with Queens, do I?

[/ QUOTE ] No. It's a toughie. I suppose you can reraise to 1800 or whatever and then rethink it if he pushes. But 1800 is almost a third of your stack. If you're gonna reraise, just know that 1/2 your stack might be challenged. QQ is such an uncomfortable hand. |

If villain pushes that is.
I raise 3x here and call a push. |

If I'm calling a push anyway (assuming we're talking about a push from someone who might put me all-in as there are many mroe people left to act who have more chips), isn't pushing smarter? Or am I not calling all of my chips if a big stack goes over me?

2400 with intent to call a push or just push myself.
