Default Who\'s going home this week? Contest Wk3

Pick 4 contestants again this week (2 boys, 2 girls).

Same tie-breaker this week (time stamp). We'll need to change it next week for sure, so post your suggestions.

I'll post Week 2 results Friday in the Wk2 thread.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +

Rules Pick who is going home this week. Entries are accepted in the official contest threads up until the performance show starts on the East Coast. You can change your entry up until the deadline.

Weekly Prizes - Granny Mae is offering a new release Vivid (or other) DVD to the weekly winner. Weekly winners must have all picks correct for the week (must be 4 for 4 this week, then 2 for 2 later weeks. there will be no prize awarded for 3 for 4).

Weekly Tie-Breaker - In case two posters pick the same AI contestants, the poster who made the prediction first (by time stamp) in the official contest thread wins (Note: feel free to post your picks in the previous week's thread after the results show if the next week's thread is not started yet).

Season Grand Prize - Whoever has the most correct individual guesses for the season wins the Grand Prize Package, which will include Chris Richardson's first CD, plus other fabulous prizes.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +

OK, start posting picks for Week 3 below...

You're going to have tons of ties every week, once the top 12 comes around.

One way to do it would be to take the winners who tied in top 12 week, and have the tiebreaker be their pick in top 11 week. If still a tie, then rolled over into top 10 week. That should get the job done, unless 2 people go perfect every week straight, in which case they deserve all the accolades they get!

Also, the tiebreakers that roll over into future weeks need not impact everyone else. Everyone else can still start a new competition that week. Judges' decision (soflat and Granny) whether to let tiebreaker potential winner people in on the current week's competition (using the same pick for both the new competition and the tiebreaker, unless judges allow for a different pick).

Even with this scenario, you probably need a cut off point, since there should be a number of people who can go perfect every week from top 4 on, perhaps even from top 5 or 6.

This is fine with me. I think it could work for the next few weeks. After that, when we are down to fewer singers, a lot of people could be guessing correctly. So maybe we would need to switch to some totally random tiebreaker? Unless there are some AI weekly stats or something people could guess at.

Let's see what Granny Mae thinks.

Since players always have the option to chage their picks up until the show starts, we can change the tiebreaker this week too without giving anyone an unfair advantage.

agreed that the tiebreaker is hideous. I still say assume there is a bottom 3 until like there are like 6 or 7 left...they usually do it that way.
