Default Blog Question

I just made a new blog, Sport Sites.
Where would I find a good image to put next to my blog title? It looks really empty right now. I searched for "sports banner" on google images but couldn't find anything good. Also, any other thoughts / advice about my blog?

Be aware that you need permission to use somebody elses images. You cannot just take an image from somebody's site or google images and use it as your own.

Cheers,

Josh

From the new sticky: "NO SPAMMING!!!! This is a place to discuss different money making and business ideas, not a place to spam your own."

A bit harsh evan. If that is spam imo it barely qualifies.

Cheers,

Josh

I don't think not having a logo is holding back your site as much as only having 2 blog entries is.

Spam: "To indiscriminately send unsolicited, unwanted, irrelevant, or inappropriate messages, especially commercial advertising in mass quantities."

Indiscriminately? No
Unsolicited? N/A
Unwanted? Not sure, I guess Evan definitely doesn't want it.
Irrelevant? No
Inappropriate? No
Mass Quantities? No

I've been an active member of 2+2, not just some random guy trying to publicize my site. I was looking for advice on how to improve my blog, and I figured it's easiest if I actually provide the link, instead of conversing in extremely vague terms. I really don't see how this can be considered spam...

P.S. Thanks for the responses. I'll work on adding more posts, and then focus on the logo. If I go to a site that advertises free images available for use, I'm assuming that wouldn't cause any copyright problems, right?

This can be considered spam based on precedents set by 2+2 admins, such as considering url's in location fields spam and not allowing anyone other than paid advertisers to link their own site.

To be fair, posts like this have made up the majority of this forum's traffic. However, the mod that allowed that is gone and the new mod has made a pretty clear rule.

Searching creative commons licensed work is probably your best bet for finding an image you can be sure is legal to use.

Wait a second - the FAQ rule means we can't post a link to any of our own websites? I thought it meant the same as before - no posting affiliate links.
