Hooked up by the PGE man

I was flying a remote control plane with my brother yesterday after my brother and I finished building it and I flew it straight into a tree. The plane was stuck about 35 - 40 feet in the tree so we had trouble getting it out. We tried tying a water bottle to a long rope and throw the bottle up in the branches that the plane was caught on and shake the branches but we were having very little progress.

As we are doing this a PGE truck drives by with a cherry picker. It is about 5pm so he is probably just getting off work. My brother and I jokingly wave at him as he passes us but he keeps on going down the street. We keep on tugging on the rope and 30 seconds later hes coming the opposite way and looking up in the tree. He pulls up and parks his truck and gets to work without saying a word to us. He gets the plane in about 2 minutes. We thank him and I try and give him a $20 but he wouldn'at accept it. He drives off without saying less than 2 sentences to us.

I am trying to think something I can do for this man. I thought of writing the local PGE company and commend his higher ups of what a nice guy he is but I do not have his name and that has a possiblity of getting him in trouble if there is a strict company policy for what the cherry picker can be used for.

What should I do for him? He wouldn't accept the money but I could give him a cool little gift. Gift certificate to a good restraunt? What would you do?

Then find another hobby.
