He thought for a long time on the flop before checking, almost as if he couldn't decide whether he should lead out into me hoping for a raise or just check-raise. Obv, i call the flop, hoping he'd shut down if his check-raise was for information with small pair or some sort of A8s hand. On the turn he instabet 200...Didn't really feel like felting QQ after that sort of action for 250BB pot. What do you think? |

I could raise the flop here, but his hand is screaming trips or maybe even boat to me.

Yeah I think raise the flop but leave yourself room to be able to throw the hand away. Raise to 150-200 on flop?

Re: I fold, but this hand left me wondering (Nl400)
Why do you raise the flop?
Seems to me that's "for information" only, since it's pretty dry. But wouldn't we get the same information if he leads the turn again after i call? He knows, i won't call with 2 overs here. |

If the turn wasnt an 8 i would probebly call and play a river, but a big part of his range just got ahaed of you so fold.
