Hi, I've been playing poker for the last 3 years or so, but the significant majority has been tournament poker. I'm looking to venture into cash soon and was wondering what advice anybody would have to give?
Also, which specific qualities do you think a profitable cash player should possess? One more thing! What stakes do you think are suitable to begin at? Grinding at microstakes really doesn't appeal and I imagine I'll improve faster the better my opponents.. Thanks |

two pieces of advice.
1. learn to fold AA/KK postflop in certain situations. Most SSNL cannot do this. 2. don't become a tilt monkee when you lose your stack 2 or 3 times in 10 mins due to 1 or 2 outters. Good luck. cheers Boon |

Hi Boon,
Yeah a few people I've spoken to have commented on the importance of being able to lay down AA/KK in more situations than you may do in tournaments.. My previous experience with cash resulted in some uber donkage via tilting insanely...hoping I've learnt from that now. Thanks for your help, gl |

Be aggressive.
Opponents ranges are much wider then tournys. Learn to lay down two pair and overpairs in the right situations. There are no rising blinds, be patient. Your hands will come. BUT be aggressive when you do play. |
