Gary Leet
Just read the Feb 07 issue of Bluff Magazine, there was a small article on Gary Leet (one of Phil Laaks good friends).
Summary: Leet graduates college, decides he wants to set up his life financially in 2 years. Calls his family and tells them he loves them, but has to do business and will see them after 2 years. He ends up succeeding. Anyone know anything more about this guy? I find it fascinating, but cant find anything through google. |

Re: Gary Leet
Can you summarize the article?
What did he do? Just play poker, or is there more to it? |

Can you summarize the article? What did he do? Just play poker, or is there more to it? [/ QUOTE ] He did business. Quote from the article (titles "I Bet U", about laak and antonios new show) "After college, gary decided he wanted to make enough money so he would not have to worry about money ever again." "Gary thought that it would be most effective for him to cut completely away from the world and focus solely on work" "Gary said, i love you all, but for the next two years i am going to focus on business and wont be in touch" Then he continues with the story, culminating about garys father seeing newsweek on a magazine stand with gary on the front cover. Gary never told him about this- "its just business". I'm not trying to cut away from everyone, I just find this really really fascinating. I think parts of it could be applicable to all of us. |
