Default Helpful links for building tables

we seem to get a good bit of questions for buying/ building tables. We always reccomend building. Maybe do the thumbtack thing for a list of websites that cover instructions and ideas?

www.homepokertourney.com
www.poker.com/building-a-poker-table.htm
www.angelfire.com/ny5/poker0/index.html
www.scottkeen.com/forum/index.php

Anyone have other ones?

also, maybe a few comments or tips of our own added in?

I built a racetrack style table for about $250 (total, sandpaper, stains, fabric, etc) using a stain grade plywood for the racetrack, which added a good bit of cost.

There is a rule that doesn't allow stickied post to be unlocked, so I will simply link this thread in the stickied thread, in case others want to contribute helpful links.

That scottkeen site has a guy who sells decorative tacks for table building(they have spades [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] diamonds [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hearts [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and clubs [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on the head of the tack. (kind of a cool accent for a nice table)

www.fifthstreetpokershirts.com has some nice poker decor such as signs and posters. Also some cool hawaiian style poker shirts to make yourself look good at your next home game. Let me also add that the people who have built tables are usually willing to help out or build one for someone else. I would help a fellow player out in the area. Maybe a list of those that have built tables would be helpful.
