Default Neil vs. PoG Go Match interest thread

So would people actually want to play a me vs. the group game of Go?

If everyone participating is a total beginner, the idea could be for it to be a teaching game, where 'd just give the best commentary I could on each play as it came.

If you're in that's good, then I don't have to do the thinking for both sides, heh.

I don't know if a forum Go game is feasible. Compared to chess there are so many possible decent moves to consider and simply so many moves in one game, period.

BTW how good are you Neil?

I think we should try it. At worst, it's The Boat Game: redux, and we have a new running joke. At best, I learn wtf is going on in Go.

Win-Win

I'll play. I know absolutely nothing about Go. I think there are marbles? So I'm a good candidate for a group game.

I think discussion before the poll is posted should be able to narrow down what part of the board to look at, and then the poll can list four or five most likely points in that area.
