The Well: Thremp
A stranger is being shown around a village that he has just become part of. He is shown a well and his guide says "On any day except Wednesday, you can shout any question down that well, and you'll be told the answer" .
The stranger shouts down several questions, and all are answered. The stranger is impressed, and after thinking a minute he shouts down: "Why not on Wednesday?" and the voice from in the well shouts back "Because on Wednesday, it’s your day in the well". Thremp has volunteered to take a turn in The Well. This is his thread, and your opportunity to shout any question down The Well for Thremp to answer... Thremp is coming off a 7-day suspension for his participation in a thread in OOT. His ban ends tomorrow morning. He's going to take a first crack at responses tomorrow once he comes back. So fire away now, and he'll do a first pass at responding tomorrow. I'm not sure how much I'll be around in the morning, so wanted to get the thread up now to keep The Well concept going strong. <ul type="square"> Previous turns in The Well: [*] Performify - 02/02/07[*] B00T - 02/07/07[*] Thremp - 02/14/07[/list] If you are interested in volunteering to take a turn in the well, send Performify a PM. |

Re: The Well: Thremp
What kind of bankroll do you operate with? Doesn't have to be exact. (cos it changes everyday, I assume?)

so what do you actually do now? who banned you? [/ QUOTE ] Dream about the "good ol days", create plans for the future, enjoy having like ~80% of my net worth held hostage, trying to [censored] myself onto girls, school, gym, drinking too much. The usual things unemployed people do. Don't know. Some tool in OOT who thinks I'm a bigot. |

What's your background and when did you start sports betting online? [/ QUOTE ] I'm a student. I started betting sports in June of 06. Ask more specific questions about background. I'm unsure of what exactly you want answered. |

Re: The Well: Thremp
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I get the impression you don't actually handicap sports yourself, but rather make plays based on public perception, lineshopping, and looking for market imbalances.
I definitely don't think I can beat professional handicappers, so this is the approach I've begun to try to emulate. My most common betting strategy is to look for lines arbable with pinnacle and bet the non-pinny line. What sort of tools do you use to try and find bets? Any advice for someone who wants to get better at this "math" based strategy? |
