They aren't accepting signups yet. Try the Tournament Circuit above for more info too. Always a ton of WSOP threads going on.

So I got another question.

Do you signup and pay at the door? Or do you pay in advance? Also when do they allow signups? 1-2 months prior to the event?

Yes, Yes, should be later this spring, and Yes

Just watch the website and they will have instructions later in the spring

The only tournaments I would be sure to buyin in advance to would be the $1,500 events as they fill the quickest and can sell out (they do alternates but not all get in) and it would be better to be in it from the beginning and not be an alternate

Wonder how many entrants this year. Back down to 4,000?

I see no advantage to signing up very early. They just take your money and earn interest on it. And find out what the refund policy is. Personally, I'd wait until I was there in person to register and hand 'em $10K. If registering for small events, show up the day prior after noon and register when the lines are short (don't show up at 11:45am to register for a noon $1000 event... with 2000 people all trying to do that at the same time, the lines can be long).

My current over/under thought is about 6500 entrants this year. They'll still get all the folks who pay their own way in, those who satellite in or who won seats from B&M tourneys, and the non-US folks who win seats online. Plus they'll still get a fair number of US people winning seats online.

I am planning to play 3 small events for $1500 and $2000.

I can just show up the day before and signup without problems? There is no nax to the # of players that can sign up for smaller events? I am paying Ca$h. Well earned poker money made this expidition possible.

Last year they did have to turn players away from the smallest events when they reached 2000 or 2200 entrants. But I don't think this happened until the morning of the event. And I keep hearing that they intend to not have to turn away players this year--that their intention is to have seats for everyone who wants to play.

I believe they said they will have 300 tables this year so 3000 entrants plus XX alternates so I can agree it will be much harder for these smaller events to sell out
