I think you have to bet the turn here to protect your hand from hands like TT/JJ/AKs which the button all could have had from his raise preflop. After the flop, you have already put in 1/3 of your stack and have $142 left. Considering the pot size, I think shoving is an option here. I would definitely like more experienced posters to comment on this please.

Another ugly QQ hand in the SB.

I think I probably call the river bet. You've checked to him twice, even a passive player like this will have a crack here with AK, TT-JJ a fair amount of the time, and you're getting almost 3-1...

Why are you checking the turn. You should consider calling the river/he will not always have the flush here. He could very easily have TT or JJ here/or maybe a badly played AK

gettin almost 3-1 on a 9 high board against a pfr...isnt this an instacall?

Based on villains play i think we can rule out AA, KK

Well, it's a preflop re-raise from a tight raiser who got called pf from the SB, then got led into, and still hung around. That's not nothing.

9 is a pretty tight preflop raise % but by no means limits us to aa,kk for his range..

Of the ranges that we should be worried about, i just dont think aa,kk, aks play the hand this way. They should have been raising all 3 of those in position on the flop to discourage flush chasers (or in aks situation to build a pot where he is almost always a coin flip).

In position to not bet the turn with a big hand either is questionable

So all that leads to me callin his 1/2 pot bet...if he had a case of FPS then so be it he will donate back soon enoug

I call too. I said so above

I also raise the flop and bet the turn if I'm villain with AA or KK.

But remember, this is a passive opponent. You can't just assume he'll play his hand rationally.

All I'm saying is that when I hit the call button I'm not at all sure that I'm ahead, and I'm pleased I didn't have to commit my whole stack.
