Come back when you have a real sample size.
My 16k hands on my only DB, all FTP I believe, all post ban.
Throughout this time frame I've been through a lot of stressful [censored] in my life. I was living in California, getting by on playing small stakes holdem with a $2k bankroll, and supplementing my income through freelance design work. A few jobs here and there, nothing worked out, kinda felt like Peter Gibbons for about 6 months. The entire time my relationship with my awesome girlfriend of 1.5 years was hitting the rocks. We had been living with her parents since October of '05. It kinda sucked. Free rent, food, and etc left me with zero ambition, and a lot of free time. I hated it. I've always like to be occupied with something, this allowed me to not have to be. Not good. In addition, I was slipping into depression as a result of my inert lifestyle. Which in turn affected my relationship and poker. I would soon move home to Minnesota in late December of '06 in hopes of righting my life, and getting back to normal. Since I've been back, I've been working full time, playing less poker, playing worse poker, and getting into near fatal car accidents. Is it really even better? Also, I no longer have my girlfriend, and I don't really feel any different than I did in California. I do nothing on the week nights because I work at 6am, and I spend all my money (very little of it) on booze and bills. I did buy a gym membership, and that's helped a lot. Being with my family and friends has also helped. I've learned a lot in the last two years that I've lived on the West Coast. I didn't think I'd miss it as much as I do. I often wonder whether or not I'll move back there some day. Honestly, I really hope I do. I could see myself living in a condo overlooking the SF bay, while doing design work for a high scale design firm in the Bay area. If not, I'll be self employed doing my own design work, and I'll be loving life. Let's hope for the best. At least I'm still in the green... |
