Default Soul music, shakin\' and groovin\'

What are some really excellent 1960s-70s soul songs? Eg, "Reach Out, I'll Be There" by the Four Tops, or Strawberry Letter by the Brothers Johnson (on the Jackie Brown soundtrack.)

I really enjoy some of the soul music I've listened to but am highly ignorant of what's out there.

For the Funkier soul, there's my favorite band Tower of Power (What is hip (my fave), Soul with a Capital S, Soul Vaccination) as well as Earth, Wind, and Fire (Shining Star, Got to get you into my life, september, lets groove, saturday night).
