25NL JJ, blind vs. blind situation

Villain in this hand is TAG, or at least so say the stats. Hasn't been too out of line, seems ok. Two questions in this hand, 1) should I 4-bet this preflop? and 2) is donking the flop the best play here? I really don't like c/c here, check raise is spew, and c/f seems weak.

No? What hand flat calls a 4bet that we beat? You get all hands that we're ahead of to fold (sans AK), and all the hands ahead of us to shove. I like the preflop call, but just c/f this. If he bluffs you out, oh well, you lost not even 1/5 of a buyin.

Ok, but a decent percentage of the time, he's going to have a worse hand than I do. I barely bet more than 1/2 the pot. Is this not a profitable situation against a TAG? Even if he has KK or QQ, there's generally no way he raises that flop, and he might even fold. Obviously, if he calls or raises, I'm done with this hand unless I spike a J on the turn.

It's not BAD, you can just find better spots.

Theres 2 options, 1) 3-bet that and be ready to go all in (i guess villain has a little pocket pair or maybe AK) or 2) play it like you did and if hes raising the flop fold, if he calls check the turn.

Don't donk that flop. If you had AK here would you ever do that? No you never would, you'd want him to cbet. C/f flop man. I like the way you played it, even though its bvb, he can have a hand also. It sucks to just cf such a strong hand but you're so behind here its not even funny. QQ/KK and big As are a huge part of his range.
