Default Interesting river spot vs d4donkey ($400)

Villian is d4donkey, he's playing 21/13 2.6 over the 1500 hands I have with him.

I've been playing 24/18, three betting alot pre, but nothing too crazy post flop. We've tangled on a couple hands, with only one getting to show down shortly before the hand in question, that one is semi-interesting also:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $2/$4
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $380
CO: $400
Button: $842.60
Hero: $965.40
BB: $124.45

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $15</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $39</font>, BB folds, Button calls.

Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($82, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $65</font>, Button calls.

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($212, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">Button bets $150</font>, Hero calls.

River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($512, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">Button bets $300</font>, Hero calls.

Results:
Final pot: $1112
<font color="#ffffff">Button showed Kh Qs</font>
<font color="#ffffff">Hero mucks Kd Ad</font>

So on to the hand that someone said was interesting enough to post. As far as meta, from the previous hand and some other hands we've played we're I've folded after giving him some action, I suspect he feels like I'm irritated at him.

Hand 1: Raise more preflop if you're going to 3bet here. Post flop seems fine I guess.

Hand 2: Gross. Checking and then calling a bet + raise when it comes back to you makes your hand 100% transparent.
-Reraise the flop or just bet.
-On the turn, why aqre you checking behind again with all the possible draws out? You are missing so much value here while allowing your opponent to either miss and fold for free on the end or hit and stack you.
-On the river, don't bet if you are not comfortable calling a raise. Call the bet.

well, your hand is a little bit transparent after flop action.

if he's good, thats a pretty sick line with 88 or a bigger queen.

I think fold, he wouldn't try to bluff you off your hand here when its pretty obvious how strong it is.

If he's halfway decent/creative, he took a pretty good line on 2nd hand with a better hand than yours...pretty obvious u have a queen here

Hand 1, fold the turn. He's checking behind everything you beat for pot control. If you beat him its because he's bluffing, and the turn river cards and your line don't give him any reason to do that.

Hand 2, I'm not sure why you're not betting the turn, but as the way you played it I think you have to fold. I'm worried about 88, because your play looks like a flush draw and thats what he thinks you have also. Ya I can't really think of a hand that he has that you beat. AQ/88 are about all I'm thinking about. I don't think his c/r on the flop is intended as a bluff. I lead the flop because it makes everything easier. A read on UTG helps too, if he has a tight pre flop range early I always lead here and hope to stack a AA/KK who doesn't think i'd lead out with trips.

I'd usually lead flop.

As played, I honestly think the river bet is pretty thin. The only worse hand that ever calls is QT, if he has any hand reading ability.

Hand 1 would have folded the river, not the turn. I like how it was played besides that.

Hand 2, lead out on flop or if you choose not to lead out on turn. I think he rivered a boat with 99 hence the turn check and then putting you AI.

EZ turn bet about $150... then you can find otu more info on turn. Your coldcall on flop makes your hand VERy transparent. SB has only 9Tdd, JTdd, 88, KQ or AQ on this flop. Your hand looks like obv queen, so he could have easily trapped you by checking turn then c/r river b/c he knew a queen would value bet. You can find a fold, as all but one of his range is ahead of u (IMO). (JTdd, 9Tdd, 88, KQ, and AQ)
