wsop 6 handed, you got 10th? who are you, i got 7th, Indiana sweatshirt. according to hendon mob the person who got 10th in that event cashed no more events. pokerpages says the same thing, the person's name is Merle.

whaetever offer you got in tunica, you should have jumped on it in a heartbeat, cuz your results will get no backing anywhere I would think.

There was a time that I considered being backed and had a few conversations with TStoneMBD about doing so, unfortunately I was unable to go to Turning Stone enough that semester to ever get things going. I found the following gem in my PM inbox from 1/17/05

I know it is against the rules to post a PM in the forums. I alerted TStoneMBD about this post and told him to click 'notify mod' if he wants it gone

Re: Bankrolling Players at Tstone...
From: TStoneMBD
ive seen your posts on these forums and theyre very intelligent. im almost certain you would be a winning player in most of the 20/40 games without having seen you in action. id be interested in rolling you, but twice a month is rather infrequent and im unsure if its worth my time. however, if we happen to be at the casino at the same time and a very profitable game is running id almost certainly bankroll you for it. i have no problem rolling you for 2/5NL, but the 5/10NL is a little above myself. ive played in the game but dont feel comfortable having enough money on the table. if you were at tstone more regularly we might be able to work something out, but twice a month is probably not worth my time excluding the times in which a great game is running. there are times when a good player could average $120/hr at the 20/40. at those times id be a fool not to roll you.

I love the part where he was shorstaking the 5/10nl game... what a difference a couple years makes.

OP. Please point out the events that you claimed to play in or place in.

This page has the list of events in Tunica and your name does not match up with any of the winners and for some of the other events you mentioned don't seem to even exist.

I am pretty sure that not being forthcoming about your results would be a red flag for potential backers.

I would not want to insinuate that you are lying about your results... I am sure that I am looking in the wrong place. Please link to the page that lists the tournaments that you actually played in and placed in

Here's the same question formed differently I think....Say I wanna play a WSOP event this year and my brother wants to back me...

a. does he pay full amount of buy-in for a % of a win?

is that how it works, im OBV a noob at this...

b. what if there are multiple family members who want to back you?

you should be charging face value or near it to family members if it is for a single event. So if they pay 10% they should get 10%.
