beat: i broke the law (and still am)
so while 2p2 was down like it always it in the early morn i decided to browse the new feb magazine (it doesnt timeout for some reason.) in the tax article by russel fox i noticed this interested tidbit:
[ QUOTE ] Ohio has a law that makes being a professional gambler a crime (Section 2915.02(A) (4), Ohio Revised Code). I’m not an attorney, and have no idea if this law is being enforced, [/ QUOTE ] soooo, since i live in cleveland, i immediately was overcome by a feeling of badassness, kinda like when i used to sneak into bars at 18. but, after a few pulls, the paranoia crept in, like usual, and im somewhat concerned that ohio law enforcement will be beating down my door in the future since i did file as a professional gambler last year. ahh, [censored] it, im gonna buy a harley and get some tats. chicks dig the bad boy right? |

ok, i just looked up the law and apparently making a living from a game of chance, and they expressly state poker is a game of chance, is 1st degree misdemeanor.
so i looked up the penalties and the max is 180 days in jail, 500 hrs comm service and 1k$ fine. |
