Default QJ hits top pair - very tough spot

BB in this hand seems rather fishy, he is like 48/30 over 120 hands.

Haven't really picked up much on SB, but he isn't very interesting for the hand.

Me: Been raising a bit, but my imaage should still be decent.

Flop: Fairly draw-heavy, so I raise it up to protect and hopefully play HU against shortie. BBs line sure makes me believe he has a draw. SB, I don't really know, but hey, can't really fold for 2.70 more

Turn: Ok, pretty decent card. Now, here's what I am unsure of:

1. If BB had a better hand on me on the flop, wouldn't he raise SBs weak lead? I think so. If he had a 9, he would probably fold to my raise. Therefore, I think he has a flush draw or perhaps JT. Agree with my analysis?

2. So now me and BB are basically playing in an empty sidepot. How does that affect my action here, if at all?

Should I bet to protect my likely best hand and my equity in the main pot? Only reasonable bet would probably be a push here. Or, since the sidepot is empty, should I just go ahead and go for pot control, i.e. check it and perhaps risk a free card which my give away the main pot?

I bet $30 and put him all in. If he's got a 9, he's going to get a good chunk of that $30 anyhow, if he doesn't, he might fold a better KQ, fearing you for a set, AQ, or trip 9's.

If he was deeper, I would probably check.

He doesn't have much left. Looks like he has $28 or so. That number may be off though. I say just put him in here.
