I think the str8 draw and the fact that he prob only had aces makes 6th a call. is the river gross?? should i reraise 3rd?

3-bet third street, and quit thinking that your opponent thinks you have a straight draw - he cannot see your down cards.

you miss understood what i said tt .. im saying that the str8 draw makes this profitable... not that he must know i have a str8 how can he bet. that was like 1000 hands ago. so how is the river call?

It's read intensive jordie. If you think he's going to bet lone aces often enough there to make the call +EV, then it's a good call. If you don't, then it's a bad call.

However in Stud, when defending the BI, you have to become aggressive earlier in the hand, as you ideally want to pick that pot up on 3rd-5th. Remember they're never that far behind.

Stupid hold'em players. There are no "blinds" in stud. And if jordie were to pop third street, that would be two bets, not three.

I'll sometimes pop third and sometimes not. I don't have any problem with the rest of it, except I think most will check unimproved Aces almost every time. I can't see the river call being profitable.

Now its personal! Dam dealers at the Wynn got me all f'ed up in the head, they keep saying "raise" when a player completes.

This I don't have a problem with for some reason, and I've gotten sloppier with my terminology in recent years.
