Default Food in movies

Francis Ford Coppola has said that if you find nothing in his movies, you at least can find a good recipe. For example, in "The Godfather" you have a recipe for making tomato/spaghetti sauce. Almost every day for the past few weeks when I finish with PT, I find myself making an egg in a basket for breakfast. I picked this up from "V For Vendetta". (wikilink) Movies have a lot influence on society in regards to clothing, technology, lifestyles, etc. Has anyone else made something they've seen in a movie? Could also open it up to TV (excluding cooking shows, obv)

Ever since Goodfellas I slice my garlic with a razor blade.

Does that count...

When my roommates and I were setting up our kitchen, one suggested we hang the pots "like in the Bourne Identity". I said "Oh, right." The other roommate had no idea what we were talking about.

Turns out the roommate and I both had vivid memories of the fancy kitchen Matt Damon discovers that he owns while regaining his memory. Among other things, he had gorgeous hanging copper pans. We both seemed to latch onto that image, and wanted a kitchen just like it.

At one point, I think Matt might have had a fight through the apartment and kitchen, but it wasn't exactly a pivotal detail of the film.

P.S. What other recipes are there in Coppola movies?

Thats a good question, can anyone answer this? I sadly can't remember any others off the top of my head. I am 99% sure when he commented on this he mentioned another movie, but it escapes me.

Whenever I watch Hunt for Red October, I get a strange hankering for greasy fish and hot tea.

I just tried making an Eggy In The Basket and I totally botched it. I burned the toast to [censored] and the egg nearly broke when I flipped it. I can't cook for [censored].

I'm going to Subway.

When I was a about 13 or 14 I loved mark twians stuff, where the red fern grows, etc, so inspired by teh books, I would go camping with friends like every weekend, mainly because we got to make our own eggs, ham, bacon, etc.

While not a big fan of Spanglish, the egg sandwich and beer that Adam Sandler prepares makes my mouth water.
