Wanting to know what you do here. Table is just normal, nothing too aggressive.
Again, I'm looking for places to accumulate some chips instead of blinding away. I think I pass up too many spots because I'm not sure what to do and figure folding is the best option out of anything when it probably isn't. Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t80/t160 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t4300 UTG+1: t2520 MP1: t2930 MP2: t3070 MP3: t2715 CO: t4245 Hero: t4590 SB: t9475 BB: t11190 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 folds, MP3 calls t160 (pot was t240), CO calls t160 (pot was t400), Hero... With the 2 limpers, should I just call and see a flop? If I raise, am I going to raise 3x+1BB for 5xBB = 800? If I'm doing the math correctly, that is 17% of my stack. Should I push for some FE? <- is that read dependent? |

with two limpers in a 1 dol tourney my experience is that pushing is almost the only play to be sure the fold..
a lot of times there is some idiot that call your push with small pp,kj,k10s Axs making this a -EV move with jq.. just limp here or fold imo |

I would probably fold here with a junk hand, but limping or raising on the button aren't terrible.

I'd probably limp with position, but i think a push is good too.
how much would you raise betgo? do you not think it just inflates the pot at this level? is a push horrific you think? |

[/ QUOTE ] Pushing is too big an overbet. The only reason dor playing this hand is position. Limping or folding are fine. You can also raise to 800 or whatever, and hope to use initiative and position against slightly better hands. |
