...so i'll post my 10/20 hand here. I just sat down. sb asked for hu. I said ok, so my last hand at the table.

I don't know any of the players but obviously bb is not very good. He instacheckraised flop. Should I raise turn or river?

his turn bet looks a lot like a draw or Kx (at least in my experience, a bad player is more likely to take this line w/ a hand like that than a strong hand); i look to get it all in here (eg raise).

i think you can raise river here. i'd probably just call turn seeing as you have no reads but his last bet is pretty weak and most 2 pairs just got counterfeited. raise for value, say 5-700 more.

i don't mind high-stakes hands being posted here, keep em coming.

Hi Heimdal,

His flop and turn play signify a draw or a monster, with the former being much more likely, and it's 3-handed, so I'd commit on the turn. Given that you didn't, though, and that he only bet 200 on the river, my read would change to include some Kings (AK+ would usually bet more on the end), so I'd raise to 600 and fold to a push.

I want to agree with the "monster or draw" theory, and do for the most part, however, in my experience, you can't necessarily exclude a weaker king, or even a 9 from a weak, BB defenders range given the flop insta-min-CR.

The small turn lead is confusing. I don't usually see this type of player leading with a draw (obviously YMMV), which makes me lean more towards a 1 pair hand that thought you were FOS and now isn't sure how to proceed.

I think in this case, I raise the turn to 700 - 800 giving him 3:1 ish to see the river in the case of a draw, however (and this is likely a leak of mine), I expect to be able to check thru the river / fold to a sizable river bet, particularly if a club falls. I don't expect villain to get out of line too often on a river scare card, but would not be suprised if he checked with the intention of check raising the river with K9 or better.
