Re: flopped set
If you can get it all-in on the flop, it's absolutely fine. You're only beaten by TT and since you don't seem to have a read on villain, we can expect to be ahead of his range in general. If he has TT, there's nothing you can do about it and if my understanding of odds isn't too far off, you're ahead of all draws on the flop.
The only point, one could argue about, is your big reraise on the flop. But there might be few draws and if you knew you get called by weaker hands, there's no problem. Taking down the pot right there wouldn't be too bad, anyway. Edit: As posted, bet the flop. Don't know why this one slipped me. No need to slowplay this one. If they have a piece of the board, they'll usually pay, if not, slowplaying is of even less use. Especially in this case, you don't want to give your opponents a free card, so play your hand strong. Let them pay, in case they're drawing |

Re: flopped set
As others have said, you are looking to get it all in on the flop, although you have got lucky to get it in with a check-raise. A better line to take against most players is to simply lead strongly.

[ QUOTE ]
i lost to the flush [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't matter. If my numbers aren't completely off, you're a 75% favorite to win this hand against AKs and he made a huge mistake by calling. You should even make a note on this player and let him repeat mistakes like that in future hands. |

Re: flopped set
I like leading strong here, it allows for reraises and doesnt scream that you have a set, it will make the most money usually, but at these low levels they dont think enough so I like the way it is played.

Re: flopped set
no way he should call the reraise on a flush draw. He is getting no where near 2 to 1 on his money. This is a +EV play for you for sure, just this stuff happens way more at low stakes so just move on.
