Re: ...Difference between Attributed @ Contributed Rake......
Attributed rake works at many sites like Party for example. If the rake is $3 and there are 10 players each player gets attributed 30 cents AS LONG AS THEY WERE DEALT IN THE HAND EVEN IF THEY FOLDED BEFORE THE FLOP.
With contributed rake there are actually 2 methods to my knowledge. In one there is a minimum contribution to the pot, such as 10 cents. As long as you contribute this amount then you get an average rake of all other players who also contributed at least 10 cents. I believe Bodog works like this. The other contributed method is when the rake attributed to you is relative to how much you put in the pot. The more involved you are or contribute to the pot the more rake attributed. I believe Doyles Room works like this. There was a similiar thread started in this regard in the past, but it died out so a listing somewhere of each site and the method would be welcome. |

Does PT count "total rake" attributed method? How can I calculate my contributed rake? [/ QUOTE ] Th best measure I've found in tallying your contributed rakeback on PokerTracker is the default tab of PT: General Info.Tab/Player Summary/Total Rake. Use that Total Rake figure and multiply it by your rakeback rate. It usually over-estimates by a bit in my limited experience using it as a gauge for EuroBet. The PT methodology which estimates attributed rake will overestimate your total rake by 30%-40% UNLESS you are playing very short handed(2-3 handed) and really lagging it up. Typically if you are playing in alot of full games or even just short games and you are playing considerably tighter than your opponents these numbers will be way off. As the number of players gets smaller at a table the closer your contributed rake would be to an attributed rake-assuming you know how to play and loosen up considerably as the game gets short and your opponents dont loosen up much more than you-hope that makes sense. If there is a better method I'd like to hear about it. |
